CL Brakes

Sintered racing brake pads, made in France

Made in
Gennevilliers, France
Material
Sintered metal
NoNiTech
Nickel & asbestos free

CL Brakes is the racing pad brand formerly known as Carbone Lorraine. The pads are still made at the original plant in Gennevilliers, outside Paris, by a company whose friction expertise runs from high-speed trains and aircraft to racing cars.

One material, five compounds

The whole range is sintered metal rather than organic friction material, and the compounds are separated by friction level rather than by category: RC5+ (µ 0.40) for light cars and low grip, RC6 (µ 0.50) as the all-round rally and circuit pad, RC6-E for endurance, RC8 (µ 0.60) for top-level competition and RC9 for gravel.

Everything carries the NoNiTech label — free of nickel, asbestos and lead.
